Wizard CMC Integration

Connect FrameReady to your Wizard Mat Cutter

FrameReady is integrated with the Mat Designer program FrameShop by Wizard, which offers you the option to connect Work Orders to FrameShop and vice versa.*

You can select a Wizard design template where the price of design is determined by the number of mats that make up the design. Use Wizard MatDesigner to design multiple opening mats.

Note: All the CMC integrations in FrameReady communicate in both directions: you can push data from FrameReady to the CMC software, make edits in the CMC software, and then push the changes back into FrameReady.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Wizard FrameShop?

Wizard FrameShop Design & Cut is Windows software that comes standard with every new Wizard computerized mat cutter. It enables the functionality of your Wizard CMC to be continuously improved and extended for custom mat design and cutting. For information or pricing, please contact Wizard International, Inc.

What is FrameShop Visualize?

FrameShop Visualize is a separate add-on software module for the Wizard FrameShop Software Suite. It enables you to show your customers their virtually matted and framed artwork on your computer before cutting or assembly. It also works without a CMC as a standalone front counter solution. It is available as a subscription. For information or pricing, please contact Wizard International, Inc.

Can I use my own computer?

Wizard requires a Windows 10 computer. We recommend that you contact Wizard for their up-to-date system requirements.

Can I use it without a Mat cutter? Do I need a mat cutter to use the visualization part of FrameShop?

FrameShop Visualize software is compatible with Wizard computerized mat cutters, and can also be used as a standalone solution.

Do I need a camera mount?

Ideally, the camera used with FrameShop Visualize is mounted to fit directly to your tabletop or ceiling above your preferred work space. You can use any compatible digital camera, including digital SLRs with interchangeable lenses. See this page for details: www.wizardcutters.com/accessories

What is the difference between FrameShop and FrameShop Visualize?

FrameShop is software to control the computerized mat cutter machine. FrameShop Visualize is an add-on to the FrameShop software that enables you to show your customers their virtually matted and framed artwork on your computer before cutting or assembly.

How do I get it started? How do I turn on the Wizard Integration in FrameReady?

Make sure the Wizard FrameShop application is installed. Create a new folder called “WIZ” in the root of your C:/ drive. Then, set up pricing for your Wizard templates.
