The two main things that make this program good are the online tutorials and the direct line to a person when I call with a problem. (I'm not a tech person with computers) Kelly and Carol have been nothing but very patient with me with my many questions and also made sure I understood what I was trying to do.
There are other cheaper programs out there like QuickBooks® that you can modify but why would you waste so much time when FrameReady has everything you need.

We have been operating with FrameReady for over a year and a half now and
have been very pleased with the program.
The ease of navigating has to be the biggest plus for us. We previously used a
program that made it difficult to recall old orders and view a customer’s
history. We really like the fact that you can jump back and forth between
screens and retain the information that you were viewing on all the screens.
As the person in charge of managing and updating the software and computers in
our gallery, I must say that it is extremely easy to manage. From the ease of
customizing reports and menus, to updating prices, to the plain stability of the
program, it is great! After what I had to go through with our previous program,
it’s a walk in the park.

We purchased FrameReady software after checking out several others in Atlanta
last year. We've been very pleased with it so far.
We didn't use a
computer or POS software for six years and while we made it just fine I wish
that we had made a purchase much sooner. One of the most interesting differences
I have noticed other than the efficiency is the fact that customers do not argue
with me as much over the price. It was truly amazing to see the difference.
Before, when I used a calculator, they would often question the prices more as
if they somehow thought that I could simply key in the "magic" number that would
be the price they wanted. Now when I use the computer, they often go with the
first choice (which is usually the moulding they really like, which often means
more profit). For some reason they just don't question the price as much if it
is calculated by a computer. Another plus is that the software sort of cues you
along as you are going through the ordering process so I am less likely to
overlook details that should be included in the overall price or frame design.
While a frame shop can certainly operate fine without a computer or POS program,
it would certainly be well worth considering. I don't know if others have
noticed the same things after having set up with a POS program, but it has
certainly made a difference in my shop. Even when customers do want to compare
moulding prices, all I have to do is key in the different moulding number and
the new price pops up. This sometimes works as an advantage because when I am
able to immediately give them another price they often realize that the
difference in price is not enough to justify changing to a lesser priced
moulding.
Hope some of this info may help in some way. As others like to say "just my 2
cents".
